Siena is considered the largest, best preserved, Medieval
town in the world. This is the Tuscan town I like the best
(and I am not from Siena !). The town is fortified by the
original walls which are preserved to a remarkable degree
and inside is the historical centre. The main square, one
of the most beautiful in Italy, is the Piazza del Campo or
piazza of the Palio, where during the 2nd of July and the
16th of August the horses of Le Contrade run a race that has
become the symbol of Siena
It's truly a must to see in Tuscany
