If you have been in San Quirico d' Orcia, send
us your blog and it will be published in this page

San Quirico is the door over the Val d' Orcia. If you take
this small town like starting point, you can easily reach
all the most beautiful places of the area. Pienza, Montalcino,
Bagno Vignoni and Montepulciano to say a few. The town is
beautiful and well mantained and is a must to see in Tuscany.

My wife and I spent 5 days in San Quirico in the Spring of
2004. It was a terrific place to spend part of our 3 weeks
as it related to Tuscany. Great middle-ground for day trips.
The local scenery was beautiful. San Quirico is also on its
own, Some of our favorite "wanderings" were thru
town. Food was great. San Quirico will be on our list of "return
locations."

I have just spent five days in this region and San Quirico
and Pienza tied for my faourite towns of the region. San Quirico
has a charm of its own, its less touristy than other places
and the surrounding country side is beautiful. There were
excellent restaurants and hotels in this town and the people
were friendly and welcoming. Bagno Vignoni, a comfortable
2 hours walk away, is a lovely place to have lunch and relax.
I have already decided to retire there one day so it must
be great!
