Chiusdino is on the border with the maremma area, the wildest area of Tuscany. The town is far from the touristic route, but with the near Abbey of Sant Galgano which is under the jurisdiction of Chiusdino, became interesting. Is a tipycal medieval town and for lovers of biking and hiking is a perfect location.

Joe Kim - from Canada
My wife and I visited Italy in late summer of 2003 and our first stop was Chiusdino, where we stayed in a cute little villa for a week. It was a great spot, providing a fantastic homebase from which to travel to other locations in Tuscany.
Our hosts were very friendly, as were all the townspeople we came across.
As for the town, it's just small enough to have a nice, quiet stroll, but large enough that we had our choice of good restaurants when we wanted to dine out.
The grocery shopping was also adequate in town and was a nice change from the huge supermarkets that we we're used to in Canada.
All in all, Chiusdino was fantastic!
