 Tuscany
boasts many traditional festivities through
the region and along the year. From June onwards,
Tuscany's festive calendar becomes increasingly
crowded, many of the festivals celebrate historical
events that took place centuries ago or
medieval tournaments always preceded by processions
through the towns of people in costume
accompanied by music. From the famous Palio
in Siena, to festivals of music, arts,
drama, dance and film; from costumes parades and
flag throwing to feasts of wine and food,
