Getting around
The best way to discover Tuscany is to rent a car or motorcycle,
driving around you will be able to visit most touristic and
interesting points as well as all those special places out
of the beaten track.
There are many car and motorcycle rental companies and they
all offer more or less the same. If you book in advance you
can be sure that you'll get what you want (specially in terms
of availability when coming in the high season ( June/July/August
).
To rent a car you will need a valid driving license, passport,
and you have to be at least 21 years old.
If you plan to get around by bus or other local transport,
take into consideration that in Tuscany the service is not
so good in terms of frequency and might be time consuming.
If you are more than one person or plan to visit several places
it will be better, and most likely cheaper, to rent a car.
