Radda and Castellina in Chianti are my favourite towns of the Chianti area. They conserve a different charme. The area is very hilly and there are many tracks which reach beautiful places like castello di Volpaia or other small castles.

May 2005 I was very fortunate to travel to Radda with my daughter.  Radda is the perfect destination if you're looking for a dream Italian-Tuscan experience.  Not too touristy... but great restaurants and places to see. Relaxing.  Nice drives to other villages.  Vineyards and Olive trees.  I cannot wait to be back in Radda, this time with my wonderful husband.  He will love it too.

I discovered Radda by chance in 2000 when I took myself off on my 50th birthday to dicover Italy. When I returned home I told my husband I had left my "soul" in Radda. I walked to nearby wine farms, villages etc. It is small but just the most romantic place to discover. Wonderful accomodation and restaurants.
