Unfortunately during my visit the Piazza was under renovation
works.
Inside, The ancient borgo is well preserved and beautiful
and has views of the Monte Cetona and the surrounding hills.
Cetona is located on the border with Umbria and the landscape
seems to me more similar to that region. Nearby you can visit
Sarteano and Chiusi, both towns have Etruscan remains and
are worth visiting.

A beautifully preserved medieval village with a fully restored (now) 17th century main piazza, Cetona is definitely worth a detour. It's quieter than many of the major tourist towns in the area (Montepulciano, Cortona, etc.) but it is a delight to wander round it's quiet narrow flower filled lanes and passageways stopping to take in glorious views over the countryside. It's a smart town and its close priximity to the A1 makes it a popular village for second homes amongst the wealthy residents of Rome and Milan, so people watching is always enjoyable. Overlooked by umbrella pine and olive grove clad Monte Cetona, there are also numerous walks in the immediate area. In the evening enjoy an aperitivo in the piazza before heading off to one of the many excellent restaurants, a number of which specialise in upmarket Tuscan cuisine. Cetona is the perfect place to enjoy a few quiet days. Come and see for yourself.
