My husband, two friends and I just spent twelve days in Casole d'elsa....what a gem of a village..well preserved from the overcrowding of tourism but meets all the needs of a perfect vacation spot...we loved it and rated it no. 1 amongst Tuscan villages. A must visit.

Just returned from 10 days in this area. The village is OK but really only worh a quick visit. We stayed in a hotel where service was none existent and there was no food or drink served during the day. The whole area closes down every afternoon so don't expect to do any shopping.
