Guardistallo - Guardistallo, which
derives its name from medieval Latin Stallum Gualdi, is located
on the summit of a hill, where the river Sterza flows into
the Cecina, of Longobard origins, as its name witnesses, the
village fell under domination by the Delia Gherardesca family,
who gave it to the bishop of Volterra.
Its surrounding area is, for the most
part, covered with woods and a few pastures, and its principle
activity is wine and oil.

that has remained almost completely intact, immersed in the
countryside and with a beautiful view over the Tirreno and
the islands of the Tuscan Archipelago.
