On June 13. 1944 the 142nd Infantry 36th Division, attacked
the town of Magliano. I was an observer with F Co. As we entered
the town. After a 10 hour street battle the Germans surrenderd
to the Americans.
I went back to Magliano about 5 years ago with my wife and
daughter and we visited the town with an interpreter.
I have always remembered the town of Magliano and always wanted
to go back.
